CF Auctions 2007...
The CF Auctions will be starting tomorrow... I'll keep you posted when they go up.
I've gotten in a few exciting items and a few items from my collection will be going up as well.
One word of note: The Team Alyssa online donation site is NOT working as of this time. I spoke to the tech support guys today and was told that our site is not the only one and I was in 'on the list' to get ours fixed' but I NEED to get the auctions going, I've waited long enough as it it.
Payments/donations at this time will have to go through Paypal and then I will forward it onward to the Team Alyssa site when it is up and running.

I hope that this does not cause too much strife on the boards. This is not my intent. As many of you know, I am out of the VfVSS business for personal reasons and while I enjoy these books, I figure that the auction of these great books will benefit the CFF auctions more this year than any year as book and item donations for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Auctions is WAY down and I figure that if anything is going to boost the auction totals this year... it will be these books. I hate to see my Solar #1 VcVSS remarked by Jim Shooter and Barry Windsor-Smith go but it just must be.
I hope that whomever ends up with these books will enjoy them as much as I did.
So, it is time gentlemen... It has begun.

Because Ebay cancels my auctions if I mention anything about it. Something about Ebay guidelines. I am sure lots of folks could be out there 'trying to raise money' for whatever organization taking advantage of peoples good nature and part of me agrees with that, but I have explained what I am doing to them because 'approved' charities are not charged insertion fees no does Ebay take their percentage but they have not given me a break for at least three years now. So, the folks on this site know what is going on, and the rest of the world just bids on an auction. At auction finish I send the winner an email totally explaining what the auction was for, where the money will go and ask them to make their payment in the form of a donation at our Team Alyssa website. The website is currently down but I had to get these auctions started, the website may still not be up and running next week especially with the holiday. If it is not running, I think I will postpone for one week.

Congratulations to Knightt on an overwhelmingly successful round of auctions for CF! I thought about putting in a token bid for the Solar, but it was already wayyy out of my reach!!!

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.
I figured it might be something like that. I still need to send you the list. How late does the auction season run? I'm going to be quite tight to get to SDCC, but I hope there will be more after that. I know you have made your position known on new VVSS's, but I must admit, even with the Solar bringing a hefty sum, it must have been hard to part with. Congratulations, to both you and Jedimarley.Knightt wrote:Because Ebay cancels my auctions if I mention anything about it. Something about Ebay guidelines. The auctions will be finished by September 1st, if everything goes right. Please keep in mind that I will do a VfVSS for CF as well, usually a big hit with ALL the proceeds again going to the CFF.JohnnyRnR wrote:I figured it might be something like that. I MUST bump this... this set of auctions does not seem to be doing that great and could really use some support.
No worries, there is more GREAT Valiant material coming up for auction but I am mixing other great stuff in there.
How about this... if a ValiantFans.com member wins the auction, I will give you $2.00 off the shipping. Wish I could do more but the auction alone costs me near $2,000 to run every year.
How about some bids please ?

It's a set of photos of some soldiers (technically ex, but still soldiers) after a very late night round at the Hawaiian bars.Knightt wrote:WHAT ? What is this Valiant Zombies project you speak of ?dellamorte wrote:Since no auction this week everyone can get a copy of the Valiant Zombies project.

I thought that the first set of auctions went so well that I would do another set JUST like it. Enjoy...
