I decided to start collecting comics like my boyfriend does and I have No idea where to start or how to go about doing this. He collects Valiant and I am collecting everything else He doesn't want.

So some help would be nice for a newbie.

You will probably have to go into a little bit of detail on your interests. Maybe favorite movies or genres, books you like to read, other comics you may have read and evjoyed. Things like this will help us out on helping you find something that you will enjoy.

movies: kiss the girls,double joepardy,A knights tale,coyote ugly,along came a spider. Now for books: flowers in the attic,roses are red,Not with out my daughter,blue smoke,1001 jokes not to tell.

now here is another problem, no comics shops nearby so what do I do?

Here's what you do....

Go to your local comic book store....RQB can take you....and ask for the FIRST Fables TPB and "A Game of You" Sandman TPB (that's later in the series, but the first few arcs are a bit....well....not what I'd recommend out the gate.) You DO NOT need to have read earlier Sandman to appreciate A Game of You.

Read those....and see how you like it.

Amazon or B&N.com?

Most of the stuff we're suggesting can be had on the cheap in TPB format; easy to find if you have a large chain store like Barnes & Noble or Borders. Easy to get off eBay too.
