Valiant Cards

Post by Chiclo »

I won a lot on eBay a week or so ago. It was for a bunch of Valiant Unity cards.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0170943240

Looking back now, I notice Upper Deck in the admittedly short description. The Unity cards were produced by a company credited as Comic Images on the cards.

I got it in today. It's one of those long cardboard card sleeves, taped shut with an address label. It had one full set of Unity cards, a full set of some Star Trek TNG cards and almost a full set of Valiant Era I cards (less 94 and 95), and a whole bunch of Valiant Era I doubles (no 94s or 95s yet). I already have a set of Valiant Era I and Unity cards.

Anyway, this is pretty cool. I won the auction for $2.25 and was charged $6.50 for shipping for a total of $8.75 and the shipping label said $8.04 for postage, so he made 71 cents off my bid.

Does anyone have needs lists for Valiant Era I common cards?

Would anyone be willing to trade a complete set of Valiant Era II cards for a complete set of Unity and/or near-complete Valiant Era I cards?

He probably lost money overall if you factor in PayPal fees, Ebay insertion and Final Value Fees. I think they all add up more then 71 cents.

I hadn't thought of that.

I did pay him with paypal.

I mean, I don't want to pay more than I did, but it would have been nice if the fellow had broken even for his troubles. Then again, that's the risk you take when you start an auction so low. Certainly not a shipping profiteer.

I sent the seller an e-mail and got 3 more boxes for 99 cents a piece and $3 more shipping all together.

I can keep at least one sealed if I want to now.
