These dont look like they came from Previews, do they? Was there a stand-alone?

Also, I think he is off on the count. Looks more like 200 books than 350. Doesn't matter much at the $30 he is asking.

I'll donate funds for this too.

Possibly even be the bidder.

I don't know who we'd contact, though.

After thinking about it, I'm going for it.

I'll gladly work on a fan project or part some of the lot out on the cheap.

The indica is the same as the one in my copy of Previews.

Leads me to believe they were left over from the Previews binding process?? :?

I asked him about the binding... he said they have a "magazine type clear adhesive".

If they were leftover from the Previews inserts, they should probably have
all the extra white space on the left edge... unless they were also trimmed
and bound using the magazine type clear adhesive.

They're interesting, though, simply because there are so many.
There has to be a story there... if it was 10 or 20 copies, no big deal...
for there to be 200 - 350, there would have to be some "purpose" intended.
(...and obviously, that purpose never happened.)

I hope these arrive by the time I get to Amarillo. I would love to see that many of the same comic in one place. Let's hope this stays low.

Would this be the first ever DVfVSS project? If so, I am in and will help anyway I can.

Speaking of which, I am finally finding time to go through the huge box of books that C-Lo unloaded on me. What a guy, when he said he had some DU to send me I had no idea it would be as much as it was. It is some want daunting to even consider beginning to go through. But I can't wait.

Well, it looks like CorvetteJim is much more interested in it than I am.

I've had a couple of PMs of great guys wanting to chip in if the auction went my way, but I must step down as the primary bidder.

I'll definitely chip in if anyone wants to go for it.

Is grandcanyoncomics a member here?

More specifically, a member who would be interested in sharing these and/or using these for some kind of board project?

I've been watching this auction with the intent on bidding high for these, keeping a few and sharing the rest around here. Or if someone wanted to do a board project....

But I don't want to outbid someone else who's planning on doing the exact same thing.

I only want a few for myself.

Was anyone else planning to bid at the last second, then sharing them here?

Cause I can hold off.

GUYS

Something just jumped out at me.

Image

I pulled that image from this auction. My copy of Plasm 0 bound in Previews has a white border around the edges, top and spine on both front and back covers. This one has no white border around the edges.

I don't think these are even ones that were supposed to be bound in Previews, but weren't.

Whoever bids on this lot, I am IN when it comes to chipping in!

Do we have a horse in this race? Or are we all just willing to share the burden?
:?

Someone needs to teach him how to bid. So far 12 out of the 18 are his pecking bids.

You just noticed there was no white border? :o

The only problem is the seller claims there are no staples at all, while the previously known stand alone editions of Plasm #0 were supposed to have one staple in the middle of the spine, from what I recall.

Has anyone gotten in touch with comicmark (grandcanyoncomics) about these? Maybe seeing if there is a way that we can buy some of these off of him once he gets them?

If a DVFVSSREMASPCA edition is done, make sure someone sends Defiant1 a copy.

It would really *SQUEE* him off.
