Ah ok, that is logical.dbostejano wrote:He worked for CGC, may have been some big timer over there, and is now selling CGC books he just got graded, I'm guessing he doesn't maintain contact with old co-workers and gets the hook up.Draco wrote:Sorry but i dont get it.
Can you explain what you mean dude.
cheers
However i guess it would be too easy to do and too easy to get screwed.
I would just take it that the guy only gets books that are really high grade slabbed and leaves the 9.6 down alone.
Having worked there or if he still is, theres no reason why he shouldnt get reasonable help and maybe preferential treatment to an extent, but to try and find something wrong with it is all too easy for me.
Ill just take it that he knows what he is doing and is probably responsible for getting some really nice books out there to a welcoming market.

Well, you can't call what he's got now unethical because the process for grading is blind. I have that on good authority from people who work there now, and people who left. The way he gets so many high grade books is by taking books that are in the 9.4/6 range and having them pressed when t he only noticable defect is surface dents, etc. He's got a keen eye and searches for very high quality books of lower end keys and common books that are particularly difficult to find in higher grade. No secret, he just does it better than most.
