Official Format for Issue Lists
Below is the PERFECT format for all issue list. Brother J put this list together and I totally dig it, so I am making it an official format as of today. Do up your issue lists like this and they will be added. I request all those lists that have not been made a sticky change your list to the below format and a sticky will be made. I appreciate your help... this is done only to better the Dead Universe section more organized and in an easily understandable format.

Well, I just like how every issue is listed, not like 1-34 or something like that. It is just easier to read.
And for the same list in excel spreadsheets, I am going to ask Greg for some storage space where they can be downloaded from the site. Seeing as how I know a certain somebody that has made these in abundance.

Greg kindly answered before with a positive dude when i suggested checklists and images for other DU'sKnightt wrote:Well, I just like how every issue is listed, not like 1-34 or something like that. It is just easier to read.

Basically the requirements were to ensure all cover images were available in the correct size on all entries and that the first task before giving any space up would be to do pre hero Valiants and other Acclaim books.
Im slowly building up a good hit of Du excel checklists and i have to say they look great.

Theres something very exciting/disturbing depending on your viewpoint, to having a folder of these babies to lug around with me at shows.
Being able to thumb through over sixty DU checklists knowing they are as complete as can be is a dream indeed.
I would say that many are for sure 100% complete and the others combines probably reach somewhere near 99% amongst them.
I know we are always adding and finding new bits to make the puzzle complete and this to me is a positive and great addition to the fun, not a frustration or bother in any way.
Whether you prefer a written list and want to copy of here or you wanna cut and paste into word so be it.
I prefer the smarter more organised box ticking and if thats your cup of tea too then imagine between the three options how much of a help this is going to be in years to come when the word spreads.
Im love this sh*t.

The way I do it is to have it in Word and then take off the issues that I have just gotten in, so that I end up with a list that looks like this:
Knightt’s Atlas/Seaboard Needs List
Destructor 3
Police Action 3
Savage Combat Tales 2
Vicki 2, 3
Western Action 1
Magazines
Devilina 1, 2
Gothic Romances 1
Movie Monsters 1, 2, 3, 4
Thrilling Adventure Stories 1, 2
Weird Tales of the Macabre 1, 2
This way I can only look for certain numbers and not have the other stuff clouding my vision... I'm kinda dumb like that.
AND my lists get smaller giving me a sense of progress.

I like to have a box checklist for several reasons.
I like to be able to cross things through and boxes are better than just a figure all out exposed in the open ( Although after a while i re do the lists and remove the ones i have altogether).
It takes up less space and less paper to have it laid on landscape style.
Im really anal in my own silly way

Jokes aside, i can see it from several points of view and i used to use A4 lined paper and handwrite them all which is why i went for the excel format as i was starting to draw boxes around them anyway and the anal side of me won through.
<a href="http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/ll29 ... ldlist.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll29 ... ldlist.jpg" border="0" alt="old list"></a>
I have to concede thought that if you were to do a poll on who prefers the Draco excel sheet or the stunningly average word style blandness then i would most likely be in the minority, although judging how cool the Defiant list looks, god only knows how

<a href="http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/ll29 ... ntlist.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll29 ... ntlist.jpg" border="0" alt="excel style"></a>
what im going to attempt next is a checklist of what i have as there are so many smaller complete titles, publishers that slip under my old memeory radar ( i can excuse myself having owne well over 1,000,000 comics in the last 30 years) and i often buy doubles of obscure stuff forgetting i bought it back in '98 and so on etc etc.
Knightt wrote:Draco has oodles of them. I am sure he can hook you up.tssgery wrote:Could someone send me one of the excel lists? I'm going to be re-inventorying some of my books this holiday season and might move to excel instead of/in addition to comicbase
I can hook you up dude as i am slowly attempting one a day as we speak so this time february i will have it all nailed.
Pm me for what i have so far anyone.
