In case it hasn't been posted here, Jayjay just confirmed over at the Dark-Key site that the Dark Horse Gold Key line has been cancelled.

I guess that disgruntle employee was right about the comics being expensive to produce, expensive to buy, and not selling.
And like I said in a previous thread - Mike Richardson would make a great politician. I didn't buy his story 100% when it came out. Seems though despite above issues DH was going to keep producing them, but Classic Media is the straw that broke the back.

Yep. What he said made too much sense.
Richardson's comments struck me as either a load of BS or the opinion of a stupid man or a man in denial.BruceReville wrote:And like I said in a previous thread - Mike Richardson would make a great politician. Unfortunately, Dark Horse has cancelled the books. They are doing a few more, I think to finish out enough issue to do trade PB, but because of the high price of the license from Classic Media, dropping sales figures as well as increasing interference from Classic Media into the content of the comics, Dark Horse decided to drop the books. They still like Jim and want to work with him on some things. He's still very disappointed. But Classic Media is asking too much for too little and they've caused problems as well.
I'm so sorry to have to tell you. Or to even have to say it. It's very disappointing. I was really loving the stories.

Hey, Heath has a 'crappy' copy of Rai #0 he can send you that you can read on the sh!tter. It's already familiar with that setting.BruceReville wrote:Unblessed wrote:Bruce, reading your bold posts makes me think someone is talking while on the can and passing a rather large one as they are talking, again, on the can.

This is disappointing news. Because I pre-order and because of the delays, I've been behind on the reading, but I was hoping the best for the line.
Is Solar #10 going to be the last book?
Has anyone else received their Dark-Key FCBD project book? Now that the line is cancelled, my excitement for this is unfortunately a lot lower.
Now that I think about it, between Shooter's books being cancelled and Boom's Ducks comics dropping off the map, there's really nothing left that I pre-order these days.
I hope Jim still keeps blogging. That's something I've been enjoying each day.

Terrible news, but can't say I'm surprised by this. Not sure what was going on over at Dark Horse with the lateness of the books, but it was inexcusable that it went on for so long. DH really needs to take a serious look at how they are doing things over there. This fiasco makes them look very amateurish.
