The Valiant Villains!
I love a great villain and I'm hoping that the new Valiant does too. Valiant, back in the day, seemed to have two great villains: Master Darque and Toyo Harada. These are the two guys who I thought of as Valiants Dr. Doom or Thanos in terms of great villainy. There was also the Spider Aliens, Erica Pierce, Sandria Darque, the Immortal Enemy and Doctor Eclipse! Who am I missing? Are there some great stories that I need to know?
I'm looking forward to seeing the new Valiants spin on some of these villains. I'm hoping that X-O gets his own Dr. Doom type villain. Maybe I'm wrong , but it seemed to be the Spider Aliens as his main bad guys. Since Shadowman won't be around for a little while and no Solar, I'm kind of hoping to see Master Darque as an antagonist for Aric.
I'm looking forward to the building of a rogues gallery in the Valiant Universe!

I don't know.
I am kind of wishing that the rogue's gallery could stay similar - or better yet - keep villains within self.

Harada and Darque are the A-listers for sure and I am looking forward to them.
You also missed The Sect, which will probably play a big role early on.
And I always liked Ax, and I think some interesting stuff could be done there. Trying to hack the XO armor, butting heads with Sting, and there's the Blood of Heroes nanites Ax killed Bloodshot for in Rai #0.

It would be nice to see them make the character more like the Acclaim version.Brother Darque wrote:i'm looking forward to see how they redo Master Darque.

Yeah, I think Master Darque is the villain that I am looking forward to the most. I'm wondering in which title he will reappear. Will he look the same? What differences will there be to his character?Brother Darque wrote:i'm looking forward to see how they redo Master Darque.

Like the Malevs and Dr. Silk, and Iwatsu.
Yes, good call on these others. I had forgotten. There are a lot of villains for the creators to play with.BugsySig wrote:Harada and Darque are the A-listers for sure and I am looking forward to them.

Mmm, I'm looking forward to new villains and challenges. They're sure to touch upon some of the names we know but I don't want to see everything as a tweaked rehash of territory we've already covered.

I think they can do a lot of great stuff with the Vine, so I expect them to feel more significant than they did as the Spider Aliens.riprap wrote:I love a great villain and I'm hoping that the new Valiant does too. Except for the Vine/SPA, Harada and Darque, I pretty much expect all new villains.

I actually showed up at a podcast about villains. The host tried to bring me in and talk about Valiant villains. He asked about villains, and I mentioned Harada, and Darque.betterthanezra wrote:+1 I never thought he was a special villain. More annoying than anything.Rufusharley wrote:anyone but Eclipse. sorry.
