Valiant/Acclaim Phone Cards

Post by bobby97801 »

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about these? How were they distributed? How much are they worth? How often do they come up for sale? Does anyone have extras that they would sell?
Thanks,
Bobby

They're worth what someone will pay for them. Like pogs, phone cards were supposed to be the next big collectible, but never took off. They're probably of interest to the completist, but I wouldn't expect them to sell for outrageous amounts of money. (Of course, if you find a completist with outrageous amounts of money, maybe they would, as I don't see these sorts of things for sale on any sort of regular basis.)
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

It's like a little encapsulation of the 90s

Are you trying to act like my pogs aren't valuable. I even have the Wizard Anniversary pogs.

I got some Spawn pogs in that issue of Previews (with the Deathmate and Plasm promo comics) that I just picked up for a dollar.

Never knew this existed. The individual Acclaim phone cards are pretty rare and I've not seen those on sale either. I am guessing value wise it would be $50 to $100, basing it on how much the Valiant trading card uncut sheets like this goes for. But like I said, I have never seen uncut phone cards before so it could be worth more.

I have never seen any of the phone cards on the open market, not to mention an uncut sheet. I think this could be an one of a kind piece.

It's the first I've heard of. Individual ones have been picked by members here and there, but I don't remember hearing of an uncut sheet. Nice find.
