I am officially surprised. No Quantum & Woody related titles this month.

Wish they had picked a different cover image for the Unity HC, but Raul Allen is really kicking butt with those new Harbinger and Timewalker covers.
"What was appealing about the moment would be, in time, the cause of its end. It was the first time I experienced an identifiable algodonic state. That is, I became capable of observing beauty while experiencing sadness simultaneously." -- Joshua Dysart, Imperium #3

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of that cover. I don't remember seeing it before. Was that a single issue cover?

That's the Travel Foreman Pullbox cover for #1.

That figures. It's about the only non-incentive variant for #1 I don't have.

I have the sinking feeling this might be the last arc of Ivar, Timewalker. I'm hoping it's immediately followed up with Neela, Timwalker, but I suspect more that this and Imperium will be replaced with new AA and Harbinger series.

I have no problem with this. I hope they go with 12 or 25 issue maxiseries instead of ongoings so that they could get the sales boost for new number ones. Also, A&A has also shown that stories read better if the writer has a definite ending of his run in mind.

I agree with the 12-25 issue idea. I don't perceive any of the previous work VEI has done as 'cancelled'. Those stories simply reached their goal. I do believe however that all the current Valiant Next issues are probably planned to 25 issues. We know Bloodshot reborn is, and Imperium's arc seems more complex than just 12 issues. Ivar's first 3 arcs appear to be establishing this sort of duo between Ivar and Neela.

And I just plain love Ninjak so I hope he keeps on going just like X-O Manowar.

---

On another note; is there anything different about the second printing of the deluxe editions? or are they simply sold out such that there is a need for a second printing? (that would be really cool)

I believe the only difference is a slight change in color to the trade dress. I have an A&A Deluxe which is a lighter blue than the XO and Harby Deluxe. Could be wrong about that, though.

Not really. Even at the start of the series, FVL has already gone to press saying that the first three arcs are "Making History," "Breaking History" and "Ending History." From a February interview (which was Ivar just on its second month):

http://comicbook.com/2015/02/16/fred-va ... mewalker-/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Fred Van Lente wrote:And what are your long-term plans for Ivar and Dr. Sethi after this arc?

The third arc, or “act,” is called “Ending History.”
I think it's pretty telling that that is his only answer for his long-term plans. I have a suspicion that FVL really just has the first year mapped out. But then again, there is this hopeful sign in the solicits:

ALL-NEW ARC! JUMP ON BOARD HERE!

I have heard (over on Reddit) of some folks being unable to get Deluxe Editions through Amazon and such. I think they may have actually sold out all of the first printings!

I would take that as the best sort of hidden revelation of these solicitations - New readers are trying to catch up? I sure hope this is true.

I keep one of each in my cart "saved for later" just to see and hey are almost always listed as "limited number available" or "only ___ left in stock."
