So, I recommend that those of you who are geographically lucky not spoil it for the others. wink emoticon

Any of the powers that be on the board have some info on this? I feel like Pavlov's dog ready to read both of these issues and there's no reliable explanation I heard except that Diamond is Diamond. My LCS showed me a bunch of titles, not just Valiant ones, that came damaged as replacements for previously damaged books ordered. There were some Imperium 4's and 5's with water damage (not sure how hat happened) and some Star Wars books that looked like they were handled by a badger.

So is this a Diamond issue that can be fixed in a week?

Yea, I went to pick up my books, and had no Valiant titles in my stack, only to find out that the two solicited for 8/5, won't be out until 8/12. It's only a week, but it was still disappointing news.

They didn't come in at my LCS in Sebring, FL either. He looked it up in his ordering system (Diamond, I presume) and it shows this weeks Bloodshot Reborn 5 and Imperium 7 scheduled for coming out next week with Unity 21 and X-O 39.

So, does this mean Diamond didn't release the shipment in time to get it to their own warehouse, or that Valiant didn't get the shipment to Diamond in time? I'd hate for VEI's perfect record of never missing a street date for their new monthly comics to be busted, so I'd rather blame Diamond. But I'd like to know the truth. I guess if some shops did get the issues at least, then their record isn't busted yet either way, but it's tarnished by this slip, whomever is at fault.

No new books in my shop either. I also had to wait 2 weeks on Book of Death. It was worth the wait because I unexpectedly was able to get a copy of Legends of the Geomancer so I can't complain.
