Do I remember right - didn't the books get lost in the mail for one retailer? Could it be this one?

This is setting off some serious alarm bells. Someone's gotta be sitting on some more of these. I don't want to assume the worst, but people are aware that there is a limited but devoted fan base, and one could make more money off of selling one book than trying to sell 500.

But allegedly sold out with not one copy on ebay. Any
Ahole comic shop can get a 500 copy exclusive and then

Rip off the Valiant collector desperately trying to get a
Copy. Valiant should step in print a bunch more and prevent

Cashing in on this garbage. Dont buy from them please
That will only motivate some other *SQUEE* to
Destroy valiant books. The purpose of fcbd valiant books
Is to give out free samplers to encourage
Readership not to burn the books so there are only
5 left in existence. Sorry to say it but i wish only

The *SQUEE*. I have two middle fingers for them one for each copy
They are willing to sell.

Rip us off. So fcbd books cost the retailer
.30 a book. We have them print 500 more

We split that amount between 30 members or
More $5 a piece and each member would
Get a share of the books. I dont really care
About getting this book but i think its total

Catch them all then finding out you might
Have to sell a kidney to pay for one because
Of unscrupulous actions. I think if we do
This that dishonest comic shop cant make

Except that would be a 2nd Printing.

I doubt someone would actually buy one of these at that price, but if they do then more power to them. It can only affect us if we allow it to. Attempting to get a whole new print run made up would mean we've allowed it to affect us.

I have almost all of the FCBD issues from that year, and during that hunt I can confirm that I spoke directly with Keegan (the owner) at that time and he told me the order never reached him and was lost. That's all I can really confirm.

I would add that for our own retailer Variant, ALL the books showed up in one shipment. There was no option to get 5 advance copies. If the shipment was lost, where did the 5 books come from? If they really only have 5, and they know Valiant has 5, then it stands to reason the 5 probably came directly from Valiant. ("Sorry your books got lost, here's half of the 10 we saved for our archives.") If that's the case, I assume the guys in the office would not be happy to hear about how the books are being sold now.

He was selling some, I don't know if it was a complete set. Someone gave us a heads up on who he was and what he was selling when those sets started showing up on ebay.
