If you can afford the $25, this seems like a no-brainer. Scroll to the bottom.

For a second I was freaking out. Then I saw this was all digital versions, and my excitement drained away.

Everything else is for digital reading.

Interesting that the rules to the roleplaying game are included in the bundle.
Is there anything in the boxed set that is required to play the game besides a few miniatures?

The roleplaying game is just a set of instructions anyways, like Dungeons & Dragons. You may be thinking of the deckbuilding game. That consists of miniatures and several cards and some other components.Shadowman99 wrote:Interesting that the rules to the roleplaying game are included in the bundle.

Re: Exclusive X-O Manowar 1 Virgin Cover
I've said it more than a few times: VEI should try covers with all art and no cover dress, if not as a regular issue than perhaps as a 1:10. If they offered it as a pullbox at regular cover price I would gobble it up, along with a dressed version.
They wouldn't have to pay for new cover art and the eye appeal would leap from the shelf.

I get what you're saying, but at the end of the day trade dressing is there for a very basic but important reason - to help people identify at a glance what comic they're looking at. Sure, I could probably walk into an LCS and pick out any VEI title correctly without trade dressing (although I wouldn't know what issue # it was without looking inside the front page), but considering I don't read any Marvel, DC, Image, DH, Boom (etc.) I wouldn't have a clue what 9/10 of them were without trade dressing: it's an important thing!

I agree that the trade dressing doesn't often actually improve the aesthetic of a comic's cover, but it's got to be there.

What do you think the print run on this virgin variant will be? Will we be able to tell from the HB site?

Well, currently there have been 2,925 "purchases" of any amount, but the average purchase is $14.27. I'd guess right now the print run around 1,000.Trenton Sy wrote:What do you think the print run on this virgin variant will be? Will we be able to tell from the HB site?

What are the odds some of the virgin art variants will be offered for less than $25 on Ebay later on?jeremycoe wrote:Well, currently there have been 2,925 "purchases" of any amount, but the average purchase is $14.27. Just in case someone is interested in the variant but doesn't need the digital bundle....hypothetically.

Probably a good bet in the US, but shipped to Germany? That I'm not as sure about.Sunlight on Snow wrote:What are the odds some of the virgin art variants will be offered for less than $25 on Ebay later on?jeremycoe wrote:Well, currently there have been 2,925 "purchases" of any amount, but the average purchase is $14.27. Yeah, postage could be a problem in my case... unless someone in Europe would be selling.jeremycoe wrote:Probably a good bet in the US, but shipped to Germany? I'll probably end up getting the bundle anyway. I guess it's also nice to "own" the digital copies as backups and since international shipping is already included it would be stupid to miss out on the opportunity. I want that variant!

Does anyone remember when they said this cover would be shipping? I seem to recall there was a date on the original HB page with the info but I can't remember what it said

Re: Exclusive X-O Manowar 1 Virgin Cover
I don't remember a shipping date being provided. It at least wasn't on the main webpage for the deal. You can see an archived version at http://web.archive.org/web/201702140634 ... ook-bundle" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;pixiezilla wrote:Does anyone remember when they said this cover would be shipping? Re: Exclusive X-O Manowar 1 Virgin Cover
I'm probably imagining it! I thought there had been a date on the page you got to from the link in the email when you claim your bundle. But that page doesn't exist anyone in my account. I guess they'll arrive when they arrive (plus an extra week or so for those of us outside the US), it'll be a surprise

The specific cover discussed in this thread is definitely not blank.nonplayer wrote:What no blank cover

Never had gotten an email and cannot find any order number associated with any HB purchases. Nothing can ever be easy.
