more unpublished SOLAR Annual pages coming

a few years ago, i posted the pages to
an unpublished solar/timewalker book by dave cockrum, that were missing the first few pages but almost complete..
looks those pages are coming soon..
or something else?

Interesting. Do you remember if it was the first four pages that were missing? And if the other pages were made with Zipatone?

yes it was missing the first four pages, and the cover i bet is what nycjadie has.
in my og post, the pics i uploaded are gone, but i still have the scans of all the pages, back then i suggested a fan made issue , but not enough pages were there. this could help if i could get scans of those pages, can you post a pic of the cover nycjadie?

It's one of my favorite Solar covers, certainly my favorite Layton Solar. I did a lot of work with that cover at a copy shop to get a properly prepared version to Janet Jackson to be colored in the old Valiant style, but life intervened and she never took on the project. I did get her the materials though. Had to be more than 10 years ago.

Anyway it's Steve's now, would not hate seeing it again!

i have scans of almost all the pages that i pulled off anthonys comics book art around 2015, .. the new ones havent been uploaded yet.. but a cover pic could be posted

well the pages have been posted, and it has nothing to do with the dave cockrum book... it doesnt even look valiant.. it looks too modern to be a valiant book, maybe dynamite?. could totally be wrong

Very removed from 90s Valiant house style but it could possibly have come pretty late in the run, Birthquake or later but I think it fits better with VH2 or more likely, Dynamite (who still suck).

I don't recognize the style at all, it does look Dynamitey but I'm gonna guess VH2 era since they used actual zip a tone and some if it seems to be yellowing. Doesn't look VH1 to me and they always called them Yearbooks back then and not Annuals.

I had a real hard time with Tapatalk. Seems like they are making the free version near impossible.

I have a bunch of unpublished material, including some full issues. My plan is to publish these in limited comic sized gallery editions. The word bubbles would be missing, and it would really just be a facsimile of my original art, but I thought it would be fun to sell stickers of the word balloons that you could paste on the gallery books. That’s my pie in the sky dream anyway. I’m pretty sure I’ll finally get around to the gallery books, but the stickers are a long shot at best.

Such a cool piece!
Conceptually it reminds me of this unpublished Solar art also by Bob Layton. My understanding is that it was to be the cover for Solar #1 before BWS ended up doing the cover. I could see him revisiting it a few years later for the Solar yearbook that never was published.

That's a really cool cover too. Harkens back to the Gold Key Solar a bit more. However can't beat BWS, all of his Solar covers are so iconic.
