X-O Manowar Invictus #2
Don’t listen to the naysayers, this is a decent, solid run of XO.
Artist change for the better here as Fernando Baldo delivers art that wouldn’t look out of place during the VEI years.
Action led story with the return of a Vine character (Dalgan Pith) who teams up with Aric and Thyra to take on the Romanus. Shanhara has somehow been captured by Ursus Nox which is an interesting twist. Aric starts hearing a different, more aggressive voice from the armour.
Issue concludes with Aric et al seemingly walking into a trap as they land on a Romanus planet.
3.75/5 - definitely worth checking out
