Seems like a waste of time and money to me...

It's not a bad looking book... so the major defects must be inside.
(All the other photos in that album are 3.0 - 4.0 books that look about the same.)
(But I guess the Fantastic Four 2.0 probably has inside defects, too.)

maybe it's off the staples or something... at least the pieces will all stay together in a CGC holder...

That would be my guess as well.

I've toyed with the idea of totally thrashing a Turok 1 and sending it on for a 0.5. Just to have the lowest graded Valiant book in the world.

What would you have to do to get a 0.1?

I'm guessing that would involve poop.

Maybe pee... the ammonia stench combined with the "water" damage might even get this lower!

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Someone should definitely try that. Maybe some added bile would earn you a 0.05! :thumb:

Seriously, what's the lowest grade ever to appear on a CGCed item? What's the criteria (if any) for below 1.0?

0.5 if the book has detached or missing covers/pages and isn't held together by anything. Like a loose pamplet of comic pages.

That makes sense, they probably had it graded just to keep it together...

The fromt cover still looks to be intact. My favorite feature of a comic is the cover.

I'd take it.

I want to have a book in every CGC grade. They've come close with Hulk 181, but there's no 10 yet.

I think it's do-able with Spawn #1 or Turok #1.
