Harbinger #1 CGC 9.8
http://cgi.ebay.com/VALIANT-HARBINGER-1 ... dZViewItem
Seller also has #2-13 all in 9.8
Anyone want to guess the final price? Seems an old time to sell, ebay has been slow lately.

At least he started the others at .99

remember on the HARB # 1...only 2 have sold previously in over 2 years on eBay...first one for just under $1000.00 & second one for $750.00....this one starts well below this price range....

there are printing defects that make it difficult to come by in high grade.shaxper wrote:Since when is Harby #1 the most sought after pre-Unity issue on the planet, and what about it is particularly "hard"? Wait, don't answer that second part...
Of course there are quite a few in high grade, but still maybe not as many as there should be. I think that the entire harbinger series is trash, but some folks get a nut on harbinger...magnus, solar, rai, bloodshot, and EW all have better #1's than harbinger...

Oh, I know. I was just having fun with the fact that he called it "hard" instead of "hard to come by". And, even still, it's not the most sought after pre-Unity issue, and hasn't been since...well...Unity. Harby #0 has always been in greater demand, and Magnus #0, Solar #10 and Magnus #12 have been in higher demand at many times too. With the exception of Solar #10, Harby is the hardest to find in a 9.8, but that still doesn't make it the most sought after pre-unity issue on the planet. Bloodshot #0 Platinum, Unity Red, Chaos Effect Red, any of these would qualify. Not Harby #1.

Sellers often take liberties with the truth in their descriptions...

Why do you have private feedback if your rating is 100%?
(Scammers nearly ALWAYS use private feedback,
since you're not a scammer, why associate with them?)

Technically, we could argue that Eternal Warrior #1, Unity #0, Bloodshot #0 and Chaos Effect Alpha do not qualify as "pre-Unity".shaxper wrote:DawgPhan wrote:

oh and that isnt entirely true. I believe greg snagged one in a set for around $450 and it came with several other preunity 9.8s.magnus995 wrote:siren3-4 wrote:The price makes sense when you look at his location. The book is being shipped from Tatooine![]()

Yeah, it might sell at that price, but the comic market has been a little slow lately.magnus995 wrote:siren3-4 wrote:The price makes sense when you look at his location. The book is being shipped from Tatooine![]()

I'm just wondering which one of us you are. I mean who else would have these huge runs of slabbed 9.8 Valiants besides us Valiant collectors? Do you have another board name by any chance? That might explain the private feedback thing better than the "ex wife" reason.

Seriously, though, you need to drop the "private feedback" thing.
The most notorious comic-book-scammer out there is this one:
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrp ... micQ2dKeys
Notice how he is also a "power-seller" and appears to be legit,
except for the "private feedback" thing.
