Anyone reading this? I'm blown away that I've never heard of this book until I picked an almost complete run in the 25 cent bins at my LCS. This story line is really great. It a cross between harbinger and highlander. the characters make up an interesting cast. Anyone?

Yep, I have a full run (including tons of variants - B&W editions, Wizard Gold 1/2, Dynamic Forces exclusive covers, etc). Of course, I'm a huge JMS fan. It was a pretty good series, but I had issues with the ending.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Yeah JMS's comic work is a lot like Babylon 5 where he tells very engaging long-term stories where you get see the characters grow and things change over the course of time. Rising Stars was great (and it was actually pretty hyped and had high in sales when it came out originally). I also highly recommend JMS's work on Midnight Nation, Spiderman, and Fantastic Four (haven't read his Dr. Strange miniseries but I'm sure it's good too)

Supreme Power is just awesome.... Easily Marvel's best MAX book. Too bad I dropped it a few months back..... it is a good book though.

Rising Stars was one of my favorite series, and I happen to be pretty heavily invested in it, if they make the movie I'll be golden, but, the delay because of the movie script issue between JMS and Top Cow really put a nail in the series and when the final issues got published the excitement was over.

Supreme Power is enjoyable but seems very much like the Marvel Superheroes redone in the Rising Stars style.
I am selling "nothing" on ebay-yet.

Oh yeah, I forgot that one. It's a great series. It's currently published as a miniseries called Supreme Power: Hyperion (or atleast the part JMS is writing is).
