I was at school today and got a voicemail. When I listened to it, it was ebay (or a call center for ebay, whatever), with a friggin telemarketing call citing my ebay username!!
I couldn't believe it, I was *SQUEE*! Not only is this my cell phone, but it's also on the friggin national do not call registry, and furthermore, this moron on the other end proceeded to leave me this elaborate voice message about some seller store on ebay!!

eBay has raised price after price, despite profits in the TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, and have instituted prices for things PEOPLE DON'T EVEN NEED.

Example:

If you use eBay's service and put more than one picture, it costs you money.

But...if you know BASIC, BASIC HTML...you can put AS MANY PICS as you want, as BIG as you want....FOR FREE.

It's disingenuous, to say the very, VERY least.

Well, to be fair, you need somewhere to host the pictures if you do it yourself. You're paying for the image hosting as well as the "built-in" picture format. They are marking to people who do not know anything about any web stuff.

And, eBay did make more of the picture services available free or at a reduced cost with this price change.

I think your point is still very valid though. Why do we pay extra for a BIN? It's ridiculous. Or to have a listing start a few minutes or hours in the future. Pathetic.

PhotoBucket's $25 YEARLY fee isn't that bad. I like it. Or use their free service which costs $0. Less space and bandwidth, but it's free. I think eBay stock is a bit over valued though. Otherwise I MIGHT consider buying some.
