Re: End Times TPB Gripe
I have to imagine that, from a business perspective, the TPBs cost substantially less in overall production due to the fact that they are comprised of reprinted material. Combining this with the 'Valiant First' initiative, a $9.99 price point would be way more suitable for these 3 issue trades ...

The XO glass looks awesome with the Doe cover. It reminds me that I need to hunt down that Variant still. I need the Quantum and Woody one too.hawkeyeps wrote:nonplayer wrote:Um no XO?

Looks really good.
How does Shadowman fit into the Valiant universe? As I recall, he kinda had his own corner that he never strayed out of.
As of now he doesn't lol. There was one advertisment for unity that showed Harada looking at a a computer and shadowman and xo and someone else was shown on ...

my fear is that the story will have to wrap up too soon for them to ever get away from Gilad's shack in the present.
That's a fair point, personally I loved this issue but when you think about it not too much actually happened, plot wise. I imagine the next two issues will put more emphasis on ...

When is this? Kozol looks old.
Khari Evans is not a favorite of mine, and even less so now that this book gets the 'everyone looks Asian' treatment.
Yea i noticed that too, very odd. It defiantly not a great issue from a art stand point. It wasn't horrible. I just cant wait till part 2. I want ...

Just read issue #2 and wow. First the art was a 10 and the dialog was great. I just want more. I guess you can say its written for the trade but I like what we got in this issue. I truthfully always want more from a single comic issue so there is no pleasing me there. The latest Shadowman issue was ...

We used to play D&D a lot here, and one of the other games we did was a game set in the marvel universe after the registration act.
It was a lot of fun, I was bonded with a symbiote (We are Zealot!) though had control, and I was not a homicidal maniac. I only lost control in extraordinary ...

I first would want to do a Stargate comic. Defiantly a SG1 and a continuation to Stargate Destiny. Screw it i wana do a Atlantis comic too. This would be a big universe already and would have a big fan base that's been dying for some more Stargate stories. Than maybe I would add Thanos and The ...

Re: shouldb I switch to just Trades?
I gotta play devil's advocate on this one. How do you know that the company will perpetually put out trades of each title? I know vol 1 always sells a lot, vol 2 less but good, by vol 4-5 sales don't justify themselves a lot of times, and MOST times (except for proven best sellers) trades don't go ...

Re: shouldb I switch to just Trades?
I have gone to almost exclusively trade.
It's strictly a value proposition, but using X-O as an example
14 issues at 3.99=55.86
3 trades = 9.99+14.99+14.99=39.97
or if you really like over-sized hardcovers you have
1 Hardcover= 39.99
Either way, you have a far better package for reading the story ...

Re: shouldb I switch to just Trades?
Personally I find the trades far more satisfying; financially, ecumenically and aesthetically.
Yea I totally agree. I really like how the trades look on my shelf. My comics just sit in a *SQUEE* looking box and do nothing. And when i want to reread something i have to open every individual comic ...

Re: shouldb I switch to just Trades?
A year or so ago I was getting about 30-35 single issues a month - expensive but fun. I can't remember the exact titles, but there were several that I just wasn't compelled to read every month so I dropped them and strated eyeing the trades. This gradually crept across a majority of the books until ...

shouldb I switch to just Trades?
So I been thinking of saving som3 money and space in my house by cutting out monthly comics and only getting trades. I would only keep getting Valiant titles monthly. This would save me alot of money in the long run. I grown so used to having so many different stories every week tho. If anyone has ...
