Here is a new publication list for Magnus, including some foreign printings.
It also pre-dates ibooks, although it is mentioned at the bottom of the page as Volume 3 coming out.

I did not know GK/Magnus #26/2 was reprinted in Lost in Space 58 (October 1978 ...

Edit is correct that I mis-IDed 46 and 47 as #47 and #48. Sorry. My goof!

However, you also won't find 46 and 47 in the guidebooks. They were ready to be published when the series was canceled. Thus, the chronology lists them as "unpublished."

The ibooks tpb are not on the chronology because the ...

I think I accidentally stumbled onto VH-1 Magnus several years after everything crashed. (I think I first read about it on Greg's website. Thanks Greg!) It was like a nostalga gold mine to me because it was my favorite series from Golden Key back when it was first coming out. My dad gave me GK ...

I picked mine up today. Same picture on the front. Cover is orange, but it looks kind of red depending on the lighting in the room. (In other words, in a dimly lit room, it looks red.)

What Happened?

So now its November 6th. Does anybody know what happened on the Oct. 27th shipping date? When will it ship? I asked friends at Borders, but they do not know.

Guess I sound kind of anxious!

Lesson #1, no matter how long the message thread - always read the whole thread...

Bob, I am really sorry to see you guys close down, but you can't argue when the money is not coming in. I must confess, however, that I buy independents rather than Marvel or DC.

I rather liked Free Mind alittle ...

Is Future Comics going to go with the trade paper backs like it was once talked about? I can not get the web page to come up. I liked them, and had a pretty complete set, too.

Is there a difference between a "tpb" and a graphic novel? I always thought of Steel Nation and Invasion as tpb's. I also thought I had noticed graphic novels sometimes kept in a slightly different location in a store because the art is more graphic than some books that are just a collection of ...

Ah, whatever. I am also too new to these boards to be fully drawn into the politics. People are entitled to do whatever they want with their property.

I was just interested in opportunities to flesh out my limited knowledge of the Valiant Universe to give it a more real or vicarious feel. I believe ...

I seem to also recall reading that after Russ Manning passed away, one of the Comic Artist conventions in LA set up a Russ Manning prize or award for artists. I am afraid he is gone.

Did anyone ever figure out who drew the covers on the old Gold Key Magnus'? I don't think it was Russ.

Have you heard of or seen the two 1981 and 1982 unpublished Whitman (Gold Key) Magnus Robot Fighter copies he identifies as #48 and 49? I had never heard of them until I saw his timeline. I would love to see them.

The "Future" of Future Comics?

Does anyone know what is currently going on with Future Comics? I recall they decided to switch to TPBs; but I have seen nothing in a long time and their website is gone now.

Old Magnus Chronology

Here is a link to an interesting index and summary of the old Gold Key, Whitman and V-1 Magnus runs:

http://darkmark6.tripod.com/magnusind.html

It purports to be in story chronological order. I have no idea how accurate it is.
