Re: NEW Bloodshot Anthology Series! BLACK, WHITE and BLOODSHOT!
Indeed. But it's Van Hook now apparently, heh. Everyone keeps writing it like that, not sure why... Originally Van is a separate dutch word meaning "from". But I believe it should be spelled with lower case in that original use. And of course if should be pronounced "fann". In t...

Re: Just not feeling it anymore
What I want to say is: Give it a chance! Early Valiant was never about great pencillers, flashy images were the domain of Image, appropriately named. Early Valiant was about the writing, the story, and you don't see that be flipping through a book, you have to read it.

Re: Just not feeling it anymore
The past weeks I've been reading the Valiant books that were published the last 2 or 3 years, starting with Harbinger #1 and ending with A Very Valiantine Special. There were good things like Bloodshot Unleashed by Jon Davis-Hunt or Shadowman, and not so good things like X-O Manowar Unconquered wher...

Re: Shooter history question
It had to be right after Unity, but it wasn't the first month after, as I had thought, but the second one, books with cover date November 1992, like Magnus #18, Rai #0, Solar #15, X-O #10, Harbinger #11, etc.

Jonathan Hickman as main architect of a reimagined Valiant Universe would be a dream come true! His concepts are always well thought out and treat the original material with respect.

This is from the October order book from Previews. It loods like I'll see the end of Liam Sharps X-O Manowar. Hope so.

Re: I love VALIANT.
I love Valiant. Have done so for 30 years, since I read Archer & Armstrong #0. In the last few weeks I’ve been reading the books that were published in 2020 and 2021, and some of the books were really good, like Shadowman, Savage, Rai and Doctor Tomorrow. And I really liked the artwork in Ninjak...

Re: Shadowman #2 Preorder Edition
And four days later the book finally arrived at my LCS. Why it took so long? I don't know. Jan (the owner of my LCS) always tells me the Preorder Editions don't have individual order numbers so it's harder for the shop where he gets his books from to assign these books to a customer. Jan understand ...

Re: Shadowman #2 Preorder Edition
I guess, we're both getting our BAD IDEA stuff from the Comicroom Hamburg then. They're just a footstep away from Bremen. Lucky you! Yes, I order the BAD IDEA books from the Comicroom in Hamburg, but I've never been there. All I know is that Norbert, the owner of the Comicroom, was a customer of my...

Re: Shadowman #2 Preorder Edition
Are you a musician? I had a professor in college from Bremen. I heard her speak German once and it flowed like a river, almost sounded un-German. At the time, I thought maybe this was the Low German I had always heard was different from High German but now that I am more familiar with Dutch and hav...

Shadowman #2 Preorder Edition
Hey, can anybody tell me if this was published?
My LCS didn't get it, the shop where I get the BAD IDEA books doesn't have it either, and I can't find it on ebay (though I didn't look really hard).

Re: PDF of Barry Windsor-Smith and Bob Layton on Unity
This interview was published in PREVIEWS March and April 1992 (in case you need a source). I could scan the original pages, but there should be no differences to the unity-in.pdf file I created way back when. Sorry about that. The web server is "case-sensitive" and the file was actually st...

Re: Does anyone have good High Res Scan of The Good Guys 1.5 and Glory#0
Hi TheHarbinger,
I scanned the pages and created a pdf file with at least 300dpi. It's not small (80MB).
You'll find it at:
http://www.bouwer.de/gynta/EW/The_Good_Guys_1.5.pdf
Have fun.

Can't speak for all the copies out there (can't be too much), but mine states the same. I guess they weren't paying too much attention by that time.

X-O Manowar #15-18 Pre-Order Edition Bundle
I'm trying to order this through my LCS but it's not listed in the Order Book. There's a pink box on page 468 of the March 2018 Prewiews catalogue, but no Diamond order number, not in the customer order form and neither in the retailer order form. I've searched the internet for the number but can't ...

Re: Solar vs. Miracleman
You're right. I had to look it up in my german edition of the Flash Archive Edition, and there it was: Barry Allen reading an old Flash comic book right before he was hit by lightning and chemicals, and before he decides to become a Superhero. Thank you for that information.

Solar vs. Miracleman
I always thought that the Valiant origin of Solar was pretty unique, a superhero who based his appearance on older comic books and through that explaining the somewhat silly and colorful costume. That was something new for me and pretty clever, I thought. But now I'm reading the Marvelman/Miracleman...

Re: Book of Death: Legends of the Geomancer
I'm a Valiant fan since Archer & Armstrong #0 back in '92, and have bought all Valiant comics that were published before and after that. Not every different cover, but every story. Wasn't always easy here in Germany, but I managed to get them eventually, even the last published books from Acclai...

Re: No blasphemy intended...
Years ago I made a pdf file about differences between the Previews solicitations of the first 3 post-unity months and the books as they were published. These solicitations were written when Shooter was still in charge, but when the books were published he was already fired. You can find the file her...

Re: The original Eternal Warrior
The concept of John Carter being an immortal always involved with war is Burroughs, but nowhere in his John Carter books does he use the words "Eternal Warrior" (I did a quick text search over at http://gutenberg.net.au" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, where you ca...
