I'm surprised no one else asked, I wonder how much a haul like that cost? Not trying to be nosy (actually, I am!), but I always love to hear about good deals you guys get.
At least give me a hint...was the price per copy closer to Overstreet BV or Greggy guide value?
um..... yeah... what he said....

I'll bet he cut him a pretty good deal since he bought so many.Brother J wrote:wow, what a kickass haul of Harby #1's, makes my hoard of Harby #1's feel inadequate!![]()

You know, I used to be pretty free with leaking the prices that I paid for stuff on here, but then when some board members took exception to having to hear about great deals and then have the books offered at significantly higher amounts than the original purchase price (if I recall this complaint was not directed at me specifically but others on the site), I stopped posting the deals that I found that I intended to resell.
So now I just keep it to myself for the most part, except in chat where I continue to have an anything goes attitude...

I think I hold that record with the CEAR I bought for 10 cents (unless someone got one for free!)myron wrote:*SQUEE*mrwoogieman wrote:I did get a CEAR for $.65, but that's not even the record on here!Daniel Jackson wrote:Yeah, if you plan on selling it, bragging about getting a book for a penny first is probably not the best idea......

It took me countless months of asking sellers if they had one before I finally snagged one (several years ago). And here I thought 5 bucks was a good price.Brother J wrote:I think I hold that record with the CEAR I bought for 10 cents (unless someone got one for free!)myron wrote:*SQUEE*mrwoogieman wrote:I did get a CEAR for $.65, but that's not even the record on here!Daniel Jackson wrote:Yeah, if you plan on selling it, bragging about getting a book for a penny first is probably not the best idea......

That's precisely why I stopped posting the deals I find. Was fun for about a year until peeps started finding stuff that put my hauls to shame.mrwoogieman wrote:You know, I used to be pretty free with leaking the prices that I paid for stuff on here, but then when some board members took exception to having to hear about great deals and then have the books offered at significantly higher amounts than the original purchase price (if I recall this complaint was not directed at me specifically but others on the site), I stopped posting the deals that I found that I intended to resell.

I'd like to be in on one of the books if you don't hold it against me that I sold my Magnus 0 for a profit.
I had to sell it since I cared about it soo much. Made perfect sense to me at the time, I was probably high. Seriously tho, it's not healthy to get as close to a Mag 0 as I was with that one.

Anyway when I've needed to raise money I've tried to sell raw or graded books and hold onto my fan projects. So if I can get in that's cool, if not that's cool too.
Congrats on the haul, that's the biggest I've seen since I've been a member.
