I've been working on complete runs on these for years. Only one that I finished is Cyberforce.Cyberstrike wrote:If only we knew each other 3 years ago, because I had just about every regular Image comic published. If you don't care about condition or price, I might have a hookup for you. Let me know what you need and I'll see about something. I know a place with a huge inventory of early to mid 90's Image. Nothing over a dollar, either.Knightt wrote:I've been working on complete runs on these for years. For the record, those were gone before you and I started trading DU's.Knightt wrote:Hey it's cool... Well, I don think MHC's grading is that phenominal for the prices they charge. Most books can be purchased CGC graded from sellers for less than what they want raw. For example, an X-men #94

HE wants $1400+ for the book in very fine, that in a cgc very fine even a Dallas Stephens, is now where near that amount. You can buy a very nice CGC 9.2 usually for $900 something. His service was nice in times before CGC or other shops, but to me to pay a premium just because its from Mile High is absurd. They aren't from the original MH collection, just issues they bent someone else over for.

WTH, man??!!? I am looking up past eBay sales for Amazing Spider-Man #36 WTC black cover issue, and most completed sales are in the 25-35 dollar range, except for one - a $48 BIN from MILE HIGH!!! And it was sold at that price... there's no way I could get away with that, I'd probably get eBay messages from other people telling me I'm crazy (like some of us do to others here
) ...........

And that makes sense out of this how? You'd think that very reason is why this issue wouldn't sell...xodacia81 wrote:slym2none wrote:WTH, man??!!? I think I'll put it out at $45 with the Best Offer option.

The last (and only) time I have any dealings with MHC is when my parents bought me the Dark Phoenix Saga issues of Uncanny back when I was 12, for Christmas. And the prices weren't so outrageous, then.IanAlexavier wrote:Thats the truth.. we dont have to like it.. but Im doing my best not to buy from them.![]()

I'm gonna find one of those old MHC ads and scan it, I remember seeing Hulk 181 and X-Men 94 for (IIRC) double-digit prices.

Ive seen Chuck at the two local shows here. He buys really low usually from dealers who are looking to get rid of all their stuff. Then he sells stuff at what he does at his store which is insanly high.
I guess they do well cause they have so much but ive really only ever heard complaints about them so i really dont get that part of it all.

follow up on this, since they didn't have this in stock, they sent me a "credit memo" in the mail to make up for it. The "credit memo" is for $3.00, so I'm not even sure why they bothered...Daniel Jackson wrote:I feel your pain, Bro J.Brother J wrote:another awesome Mile High deal. Of course once they got around to the "final processing", it was out of stock, and they refunded my money.![]()
Ok, so who here got the Acclaim Reader off their site directly? Fess up!
They've done that to me so many times, I've just given up on MH altogether.
