Glad you found your stash of number 1 issues!400yrs wrote:Elveen wrote:#brownpants400yrs wrote:Yeah, so I can't find the box that should have six MD 1 regular cover that I got back in December. Hoping I didn't throw it out. Time to consider cleaning up the comic room again.

The undies can be washed now. Found them. Haven't taken them out of the bag and boards to grade yet, but with a quick look, they may all be 9.8 candidates. Now I need to find the other copies I bought. If I flipped *SQUEE* quicker, I wouldn't have such a messy comic room filled with books I don't want. detective 647, anyone?

This set sold for $56.00 tonight on eBay.mkb28 wrote:I listed one of my "reading" copies of Manifest Destiny #1 First Print today on eBay for $34.99 BIN or Best Offer. There was a small crease in the lower left corner of the cover, but the rest of the book was beautiful. I received 4 offers in less than two hours and I sold it for $30.00 with Free Shipping.Man, this is a hot series!

I also listed this set of Manifest destiny 1-5 for $75.00 BIN or Best Offer:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261449331946?ss ... 1555.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So far, I have received two offers for the set. #1 is a First Print and is in excellent condition. #2 and #3 are Second Prints, and #4 and #5 are First Prints, all in fantastic shape. If someone from the board wants this set, I could do $65.00 shipped. Please send me a PM so I can remove the set from eBay, if you want it.

Vince 110. Could be a flash in the pan, but I love the book anyway so I don't mind getting stuck with extras.

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics
Yep. Listed one today for $19.99 shipped. Sold by the next time I looked at eBay. Have another 5 copies that I picked up today, but I have to keep a few for my personal collection runs.
I'll likely list another copy for maybe $30 obo and see what happens.
Be careful though. This has happened with a few Invincibles before and it subsides. Like issue 60 and 63 or 64. Still good long run books, but if you are flipping only, be mindful of the drop. The impact of the stories in those issues isn't quite the same as 110 though.
I'd also advising picking up a copy of 111 the day it comes out and reading it to see if the content is a game changer like 110, but 111 is likely to be ordered a bit heavier - a sketch variant and blanks.

A good friend on the board recommended I buy this beauty and start reading:

Sounds like the group would agree with this recommendation.

Of course. Best super hero book on the market and the best super hero character created since Spidey, IMO. Starts slow, but it builds and builds and hasn't stopped building (and may never stop since it's not a company owned character). However, Skybound itself is becoming a solid little company. Invincible stands on its own, but as skybound grows, that can only help Invincible.mkb28 wrote:A good friend on the board recommended I buy this beauty and start reading:

Deadpool 27 is selling in the 9.00 range on eBay. The cover price is 9.99 so without a thorough study of the eBay situation on this book I've no idea at the moment if it'll go up in price. As a note, it has the most characters ever on a comic book cover.

Just posted another set of Manifest Destiny raw books for sale on eBay:
Manifest Destiny 1-5 for $60.00 BIN or Best Offer:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261451052215?ss ... 1555.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
#1 is a First Print and has two small spine creases. #2 and #3 are Second Prints, and #4 and #5 are First Prints, all in fantastic shape. If someone from the board wants this set, I could do $50.00 shipped. Please send me a PM so I can remove the set from eBay, if you want it.
Thanks,
Michael

It certainly seems as though Kirkman plans on a status quo change in the book. Still I would not get too heavily invested in this, I just worry about the same thing 400 said, the book is hot because of rape controversy, violence, etc. but won't hold value.

Just a correction Deadpool does not have the most characters, that belongs to G.I. Joe. Bleeding cool ran a article on it. Also Invincible 110 sold 39.99. Also reported by Bleeding Cool.

Dropped by my shop and they were all out of Invincible 110. I wonder what the print run over initial orders was. Will have to get to my shop early this week to see if they get more in.

Not high. Here is what comichron says about Invinc. #109
151 Invincible 109 $2.99 Image 12,748
So I'm sure #110 is around the same.

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics
Perhaps. But if they anticipated that there would be a big demand for reorders they could have set the print run higher. Image makes nothing from the back issue market.Elveen wrote:kjjohanson wrote:Dropped by my shop and they were all out of Invincible 110. I wonder what the print run over initial orders was. My shop said that this issue wasn't yet earmarked for a 2nd print, which is unusual for Image. They have a very close relationship with Image.
