Ya know, Ryan, (imagesowner2) sold a couple copies in the last few months on eBay he referred to as 9.6-9.8. He then found out, I believe via feedback, one of the copies he sold did indeed come back to the buyer from CGC as 9.8. I wonder if this is the same copy?Elveen wrote:Did you notice in the description it says something like... "fresh from CGC".
So is this a new 9.8 book on the census?
Props to Ryan on accurately grading that unslabbed Harby 1.

I wonder? I do remember Ryan's post about the 9.8.

I hear that ... I'm looking for a new TV and want to spend about a grand, which feels like a lot to me. I couldn't imagine spending twice that on a comic book.Elveen wrote:depluto wrote:I don't think it will hit 2G.
Books and auctions like this are just so much above my reality....
More power to the guys who can, but I can't pull that one off.

ooohhh , it hurts to see it.
But you know the positive thing that comes out of this (for me anyway) is that people will trust my grading more. Everyone has their opinions about grading but I always try to err on the side of caution when grading. which, in turn will probably get me at least a few more bids on some of my stuff when I sell. No more "Thats not NM" from anyone.
Or maybe it will just make it worse. Who knows.
