While I am very early into the series, Lucifer is quite good.

Vertigo has done so many good books, I am going to make more of an effort to pick-up back issues.

I picked up a full run of Fables on a whim, not having heard much about the series at all, just hoping to get a good read. Wow, like finding a hidden treasure. I read the first 20 or so issues and put it away for a bit. I just don't want to run out of books too quick. Top 5 series reads, ever. So ...

Well I got outbid. My max bid was $330.00, which was just about as high as I would go. I thought I would win at that price. I hope someone here won it. It is a really cool item IMO.

RAI is my favoriate. It was the character that got me interested in Valiant and was tops even when I discovered Solar and the others.

The writing was just so cool....

I snatched it up as soon as I saw the listing. Really hard to tell if the price was "too high" as there have been so few listings on the book. Of course, it was worth at least that amount to me.

Thanks to a swift buy of the RAI #4 :D , I have completed my Pre-unity RAI collection.

I grabbed one off e-bay about a week ago. Did the BIN and was happy to just find one.

Good the hear you also got a copy. There is a price for everything, but I would not part with my copy for 2x what I paid for it. Just too difficult to find a copy in 9.8.

I do recall Future Imperfet as being a great read. Peter David is awesome on Hulk.

Back in the day I enjoyed Hulk comics, but seem to recall some dark issues that were not very good.

Anyway, I see that there is some World War Hulk, Red Hulk and other stuff I did not follow (full time job cuts into that time) but I am wondering if anyone here could recommend.

Maybe a RAI 3 in 10.0. I always thought that was a fantastic cover, and it is a favoriate character of mine.

But I really gotta go with the poster who said new comics with writing as good as pre-unity and other early Valiant stuff.

Never bought any Harbringer books. I guess at the time I was not into "team" books. And Shadowman did not really connect with me, although I bought up until issue 25 or so.

Any luck yet? I have been looking for RAI 4 & 5 in 9.8 (I need both also) all over the internet, including web sites listed in Overstreet etc.

^^^ Maybe I am looking at it wrong, but the guide here has a column for CGC Graded Guide 9.8 and another column for CGC Graded Guide 9.6 -- which includes shipping.

Crap! I got out bid on almost all the X-Os I was after. I even set my max bid 35% or more over this site's guide price.
