Excellent end to the first arc! All the plus points already covered in earlier posts and I'll add my vote to the 'bring back Tom Fowler' chorus, it's a great combo with Asmus' writing!

This version of Q&W is far superior to the original, 3rd best book after XO and Harby!

4/5 :thumb:

Would have liked to see them escape the crone, and leave ERa looming out there. Wasn't a total disaster, but a notch or two below the first 3 issues.
I was reading down the posts and was worried I may be the only dissenting voice, so it is reassuring that I am not alone.

The series so far has felt chaotic to me, but that opinion may be alleviated when I re-read it as a whole arc. There seemed to be a lot thrown into the last issue without me feeling I got a lot out of the issue. And it may be that put simply, this take on Q&W may not be for me.

I am not a fan of the art - it removes it too far from the rest of the line for my tastes (and I recognise the prevailing view around here may be quite different on that), although art-wise #4 seemed the best issue so far.

As much as I love Archer & Armstrong, this book is probably the closest in intended tone, but it just has not matched A & A for enjoyment. It is also the least enjoyable of the line for me. I am just not hooked in the way other VEI titles have grabbed me, and #4 was no different, although the post it notes gag did raise a chuckle, so that is something.
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

That was definitely my favorite part, but it actually read "Maybe we should just uninstall the self-destruct?"

+1 - the Valiant pattern to date has generally been alternating artists every other story arc. I was hoping this would prove to be the case for Q&W. :thumb:

I don't remember laughing out loud with a comic the way I'm doing every month with this.
I'm a Batman superhero type (serious sh** superhero types) but this has become one of the must reads of the month. This is not only funny, it's really hilarious.

Yeah, he was great! I love how his body was still grafted with cybernetic parts from the 80's. His film strip overheated! Ha!

It's interesting that Detective Alejandra escaped with them. I wonder if she'll be their "Commissioner Gordon"?

This issue was excellent. Lots of fun. Lots of chaos. I hope the next artist can do the book justice. Fowler was perfect on this book and this issue in particular. It had a very Chew-ish vibe to it which is great. 5/5

I think people who read Chew would love Q&W. I wonder if the Guillory cover will attract some Chew readers to the book. He doesn't do too much art outside of Chew itself.
