I really liked this issue, it reminded me of some of the books from the old Valiant days. This has to be one of the latest books to really get me excited again to read Valiant.

Man, I thought that I was the only one getting messed up covers this week e.g. scars, weird creases, dents and so on. I was under the impression that we folks on the west coast got the crappy leftovers from VEI through the distributor because we were the furthest away from the distribution center or ...

This thread made me laugh, I have no idea why I even began to read it!

Shadowman commentary!

There were no copies of the reg cover or the variant cover on the shelf, only the copies in my pull box. My LCS is small, I think that I am the only other guy at the shop that's into Valiant.

Kevin, I just found a bunch of Starbrand issues in my collection and started reading them because of your podcast. All I can say is THANK YOU! You have opened my eyes again to the world of a good read for under a buck!

I knew I should have done a search for this very topic, but I believe the discussion should be brought up again and especially brought to the attention of the distributors and Valiant. If the companies want to keep selling books, then they should care about the quality of the comics the customers ...

Is it just me or are a majority of the new Valiant books arriving at comic shops with bent spines and showing some other type of distress? I usually am not too picky about the shape my comics are when I go to my LCS to pick them up but it seems to me that they all have been showing signs of spine ...
